Notice of Dust and Drip Proof Specification Change for F50 Series Infrared Thermography

Dear Customers

Thank you for your support to Avio IR product line.

We recently reviewed specification of our IR products.
It is with regret to inform you that we have found the dust and drip proof specification of the F50 is “IP54 equivalent”, although the F50 brochure No. 430-034-E 2005-00-OP-Rv2 posted it as “equivalent to IP64". Therefore, the specification is changed accordingly.

Please note that as long as the F50 is used in the environment which is described in our brochures or operation manual, there will be no issue including safety, functionality, and performance.

Except for special environments where dust and dirt are blown by strong winds outdoors and in factories, it should be work fine.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers and business partners. As measures to prevent recurrence will be taken internally, we highly appreciate your continued support will be highly appreciated.

Dust and drip-proof performance (IPXX) is the protection grade by the outer shell of electrical machinery and equipment specified by JIS. The first characteristic number IP □ X indicates protection against "dust", while the second characteristic number IPX □ indicates protection against “drops of water”. The differences between IP6X and IP5X mentioned above are shown below.
